About Dr. Chun
Dr. Stephanie Chun is a board-certified OB-GYN and a co-founder and partner of San Francisco Women’s Healthcare, Inc. She sees patients from throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area at both the Downtown and Laurel Village office. Dr. Chun provides the full range of services to her patients of all ages, from pediatric gynecology, birth control, pregnancy options and prenatal care, to menopausal issues.
Dr. Chun earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her medical degree at Northwestern University. She then went on to serve her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Chun is licensed by the Medical Board of California and is a member of the California Medical Association, the San Francisco Medical Society, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She is a fellow and diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Chun offers her patients a friendly and calm approach to healthcare as well as a wealth of up-to-date knowledge about women’s health. Her passion for providing OB/GYN care stems from the unique opportunity to follow the female patient throughout her lifetime, from childhood through reproductive years and to postmenopause. Dr. Chun’s approach is to listen to the patient’s history, assess her needs, provide medical and surgical options of care, and to individualize treatments which are best suited to her. She is known for her approachability and has patients who have been seeing her for years. She is currently welcoming new patients and looks forward to building new relationships.
